Control Electronics - An application specific PLC

For devices that you produce in larger quantities, it is much more advantageous to use a specialised control electronics. This works as an integrated control system for your device.
This controller is specifically developed and built on a printed circuit board and is equipped with all the necessary sensor and control electronics (PT100, thermocouples, etc.). It often includes plug-in connectors to connect the sensors. This makes the wiring easy, and an enormous saving is made.

Did you make the prototype with a PLC? Then converting the program and maintaining it is easy. You will still use the same PLC language with Ladder diagram (LD), Function block diagram (FBD), Structured text (ST) and Sequential Function Chart (SFC), as defined in the standard IEC 61131-3.

This also prevents the reintroduction of teething problems which are unavoidable when rewriting the software.

So you do not have to learn a new language (such as C/C++ or C#), you avoid problems and risks and you can also maintain control of the program.
