The Multi-I/O USB controller is a complete pre-programmed controller with multiple I/O lines. Drivers for Windows 2000/XP are provided. Each I/O line can be programmed for input or output, even with different pull-up's or drive current. It forms a truly general purpose I/O interface over USB.

The driver allows access to each pin. The speed of access is limited to about 10ms per command. The limit is determined by the USB latency.
For higher speeds, a dedicated driver is required.
