Advanced audio analyzer for production tests

PDF Print E-mail

De Audio analyzer is designed as a specialized product for measurements on microphones and loudspeakers. This is especially useful for post production qualification tests. The types of measurements that are available:

  • Frequency-curve (0 ~ 50kHz).
  • Impedance and phase versus frequency.
  • Peak response anaysis
  • Power supply rejection ratio.
  • Current and voltage driving modes.
  • Microphone noise measurement.

Most measurements are performed with a accuracy better than 0.1 dB. The analysis is partly done using PC software. This is realized using state of the art digital signal processing (DSP) with FFT and digital filtering (FIR and IIR).

A 500Hz signal is being measured.

The analyzer has a built-in amplifier and is able to generate several standard signals like sine/sweep/shirp. In loudspeaker mode, the reference microphone is used to record the resulting sound and have it analyzed.

For accurate results, the entire chain of signal generation, power amplification, microphone amplification and A/D conversion must have a better than 0.01% distortion. The entire system is designed to guarantee this over the spectrum of 0 tot 50KHz, which may be seen as extraordinary.
